Who we are - Fundo Huifquenco..
Huifquenco, which in Mapuche language means source of water, is the largest agriculture - livestock in the area, with an area of 860 hectares and located only 0.5 miles from Villarrica. The owner is Don Mario Cortes Bornand, a well-known businessman in the community who always is involved in charitable organizations and helps the community. He has received several awards for his great equine. In his family everyone works together and help out in various areas of the ranch.
Agritourism Huifquenco is a family company that was created by the initiative of Mario Cortes Robin(Don Mario Cortes Bornand´s son), when he saw the need to expand the tourist activities in Villarrica.
Mario manages to appreciate the real beauty of the city and the magnificent scenery and photography is holding a space that has such beautiful views. He decided to mix all that beauty with one of his greatest passions: horses.
We have dedicated to agrotourism since 2003 with activities such as horseback riding, cart or calesa rides, family events or business activities in which you can enjoy the beautiful sites, various birds and animals, rivers and lagoonsand with tasty BBQs with sopaipillas, bread and homemade cooking.
Mónica Bentjerodt
Farm Huifquencos current manager, since three years now. She loves and knows well the horses. That´s why she does the horseback rides with passengers herself.
Monica speaks German and Spanish and has knowledges of English. She is a warm and cheerful guide, accompanying passengers and providing best reception for any ride.
She also in charge of lunches and dinners and any event that we realize on the ranch.

Dedicated to the care of the beautiful horses, the workers take care of the horses health care and nutrition. Thanks to their hard work you can savely enjoy a ride, because these beautiful specimens are taken care of in a unique way.
